Mahesh is a Bachelors in Pharmaceutical Sciences, having 23+ years of extensive experience in sterile injectables and other dosage forms in manufacturing and quality. He heads Quality at IBPS. Prior to this role, Mahesh has worked with Cipla Limited in various roles ranging from Site Quality Head, to Head of Quality in Cipla BioTec, (biosimilar business unit of Cipla). He has also worked with other major pharmaceutical companies like Strides Arcolab, Mylan, Aurobindo Pharma, Lupin Labs and Indoco Remedies limited. Mahesh has led site and unit teams in multiple regulatory inspections successfully, including FDA, EMA, TGA, WHO, ANVISA inspections. He has good experience in formulating and administering policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to the quality assurance function and the quality management system. Mahesh has been instrumental in identifying, diagnosing and resolving operational, quality related and manufacturing problems within deadlines. Mahesh has been certified as an “Expert Staff in Small Volume Parenterals” from the Directorate of Food and Drugs Administration, Government of Goa.
